Speech-Language Therapy

A form of intervention following a thorough testing process, that remediates impairments in one or more of the following areas;

  • Articulation-difficulties with the sound system of our language
  • Voice-improvement in pitch, intensity, and quality of the voice
  • Fluency-strategies for persons that stutter
  • Language-elements which includes;
    • Form-sounds, words, grammar of language,
    • Content-linking words to form sentences, structure thoughts
    • Use-appropriately using language for conversation and to express needs, share ideas

Our services primarily address the needs of school aged- students in grades pre-kindergarten through high school. Specific strategies and tools are tailored for each person that will aid them in compensating or changing disabling communication conditions. Since a speech-language, impairment can impact academics, coordination with classroom teachers and staff training is central to our treatment approach when indicated.
